Supportability is a sector leading charity that provides high quality, person centred individual and group-based services for Children, Young People and Adults, where we believe people who have disabilities are equally valued and empowered to live full and rewarding lives.
We are looking for people to join our dedicated teams as Support Workers to provide both individualised and group-based support to disabled people within their local community and own homes. Taking a person-centred approach you will support people to engage in leisure, pleasure and educational interests to meet their requests and specified outcomes.
We are looking for staff to work evening and weekend shifts with permanent hours available from 10 – 16 hours per week.
Do you have what we are looking for?
We look for individuals with an understanding of the needs of people who have disabilities with experience of working in a person centred manner including the maintenance of support plans and other associated record keeping. You will need to be willing and able to work flexibly across the week which will include evening and weekend work and hold a full driving licence, business class insurance and access to a vehicle. An NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent and 2 years working in Health and Social Care are desirable but not essential as full training is given.
