Big Lottery Funding comes to SCP Skills centre!

It was smiles all round at Supportability when we learnt that we had been awarded a grant of £9,588 to support music and relaxation activities at Granville House.

The news was especially welcomed by our Fundraising Manager: Samantha Case who applied for the award as part of her work to find grant funding to support the work of Supportability.

Commenting on the Award Sam said

“The staff at our Heaton Moor day service do amazing work providing a great range of activities for disabled people. They’re supported by sessional workers that run all kinds of different workshops, from yoga to laughter workshops to aromatherapy. We’re delighted to receive an Awards for All grant as it will mean we can keep running these additional activities over the next year, allowing disabled people to get the most out of our day service.’

The Awards have become a real source of financial support for great causes and it’s thanks to millions of National Lottery players that the National Lottery are able to support organisations like ours up and down the country.

But the support doesn’t end there. As part of the publicity to promote the good work that the funding supports, the National Lottery will be making a public announcement and sharing details of our award on their social media channels and with local media in our region.  We will also be able to find details of the award on their website by searching here
