Golf Day Cancellation

After careful consideration and following discussions with Heaton Moor Golf Club, our main sponsors for the event (ACS) and taking into account current guidance in place regarding Covid-19, we’ve have had to make the very difficult and disappointing to decision to cancel this year’s annual golf day due to take place in September.

This would have been our 27th year of running the event and is the biggest fundraising event in our annual calendar, but the safety of everyone involved and our ability to be able to deliver the event with this in mind has been our top priority in reaching this decision.

We were expecting this year’s Golf day to be our most successful to date, with funds being raised in excess of £20,000 for the Charity.  Sadly, with the event now not going ahead and the majority of our other events either cancelled or postponed into next year, this leaves us with a huge shortfall in our fundraising income.

We appreciate that the current situation has had a huge impact on everyone, but if you were planning on entering a team or sponsoring one of the holes on the course for us this year, it would be fantastic if you would still consider donating to us.  We have launched our #SupportabilityAppeal campaign and donations can be made by clicking here.

Your support in helping us to continue to offer the services we provide to people with profound Physical and/or Learning disabilities would be very much appreciated.
