Salary: £12.11 per hour

Supportability is a sector leading Charity that provides high quality, person centred individual and group-based services for Children, Young People and Adults, where we believe people who have disabilities are equally valued and empowered to live full and rewarding lives.

We are looking for Bank Support Workers for Day and Night Shifts at our Residential Service in Cheadle, Cheddle Lodge, which provides support to 13 adults with Cerebral Palsy and associated disabilities.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to supporting people, either through previous roles in social care or personal transferable life experiences.

All we ask is that you have the values and the desire to engage with people to support their needs and enable them to pursue opportunities and interests with dignity and respect.

We are looking for people who –

  • Will work to provide an excellent standard of person-centred care in a safe and nurturing environment
  • Will support routines to provide structure and stability for Residents
  • Undertake duties during the shift to support the running of the home (e.g cleaning, laundry and security checks)
  • Are committed to supporting our Residents to receive an excellent standard of care.
  • Have a professional and person-centred approach
  • Understand the needs of and a positive attitude towards people with disabilities
  • Are willing to work flexibly to cover shifts that will include weekends and bank holidays.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written (including basic IT skills).
