We’re delighted to announce that Stockport based construction group Westshield have agreed a 3-year deal as our new main sponsor for our annual golf day fundraiser.
Westshield is a North West construction group established in 1977 based in Stockport carrying out works in the following sectors:
- Civil Engineering
- Waste & Water Engineering
- House Building & Development
- Groundworks
- Reinforced Concrete Structures & Frames
As a Sub and Main Contractor they have a substantial workforce all directly employed with over 100 units of plant and machinery (ranging from 1 Ton to 50 Ton) along with a fleet of vehicles.
Patrick Waldron, Managing Director of Westshield commented “We have a strong North West heritage and are therefore delighted to be Main Sponsor for the Supportability Golf Day, a local Stockport Charity. The work they do makes a huge difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families, and we’re proud to support them.”
Our golf day is being held at the beautiful Heaton Moor Golf Club on Friday 7th July. This celebration year promises to be a fantastic day which not only caters for the serious golfer, but we’re also making this event as inclusive as possible by providing a disability golfing session for the people we support and new for 2023, a golf clinic for beginners. Both of these sessions are being run by friend of Supportability and professional golf coach Dave Myers of Tytherington Golf Club in Cheshire.
Kaylie Chapman, Head of Fundraising for Supportability, commented “We’re absolutely delighted to have Westshield on board as the main sponsor for our flagship golf day for the next 3 years. It’s a very special year for us as we celebrate 30 years of our event as well as 70 years of our charity. Support such as this helps make the event possible and helps us to raise funds for the people we support.”
