Many of the individuals we support face mobility barriers that make everyday activities difficult to access. To combat this we have launched ‘Our Wish for Wheels’ campaign, a fundraising project that will enable us to purchase a specially adapted minibus, equipped with:
- Wheelchair access and secure seating for comfort and safety
- Specialised accessibility features such as a tail lift tailored to mobility
What is the impact of a minibus?
Put simply, accessible transport removes barriers for the people we support, but it does so much more than just that. Access to transport fosters independence, enhances wellbeing, encourages community participation and ensures that no one is left to feel isolated.
At Supportability, we believe that everyone deserves the freedom to travel safely, independently and with dignity and a minibus allows us to make this a reality.
How can you get involved?
We are asking our community to help us raise £73,000 for our new accessible mini-bus.
